1h agoWestchester County is opening several pools and beaches earlier than scheduled to help residents cope with the heat.
Here are the facilities that will now open today instead of Friday:
- Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle
- Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains
- Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers
- Willson's Wave Pool in Mount Vernon
The facilities will operate from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., officials said.
Croton Point Park Beach and The Brook at Tibbets in Yonkers remained closed.
