The Westchester County District Attorney's Office is joining forces with state police to investigate a police-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a Pace University athlete. Jeffrey Gambrell, who says he witnessed 20-year-old Danroy "D.J." Henry getting shot to death by a police officer, says the shooting was unprovoked.The incident happened early Sunday morning after police received reports of a fight inside Finnigan's Grill in Thornwood. According to police, Officer Aaron Hess asked Henry to move his car, but instead, the Pace University student sped up, knocking Hess onto the hood of his car.Police say Henry kept driving, side-swiping another officer, which prompted Hess to shoot Henry in the chest. However, Brandon Cox, who was in Henry's car at the time of the incident, says an officer jumped in front of the car and opened fire unprovoked. Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore says her office will take all witness accounts into consideration.
