The drive for police reform is moving into high gear in New York.The Westchester County Board of Legislators announced it has begun its formal review of the County's Police Reform and Reimagining Task Force report.

The state deadline for all communities to turn in their police reform proposals is coming up quickly, and the key is there is still time for people to have their voices heard.

Written comments must be received by March 10 at 5 p.m.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo instituted a requirement for reform proposals for police departments across the state back in June, as protesters were taking to the streets in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.

The county task force is made up of a diverse group of 38 people from all kinds of backgrounds.

The task force recently completed its initial report - 179 pages with 51 different recommendations.
