Chef Giovanni Farruggio, of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make Steak Taco.
INGREDIENTS:
1-2lb London broil
3 tbs taco seasoning
1 white onion (quartered)
5 cloves garlic
1 red pepper (de-seeded and quartered)
1 green pepper (de-seeded and quartered)
1 jalapeno (de-seeded and quartered)
½ cup bunch cilantro
2 limes (peeled)
¼ cup olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
1- In a food processor add the peppers, quartered onion, the peeled limes, taco seasoning, garlic cloves, oil, and cilantro.
2- Blend until it liquifies and place in a bowl.
3- Place the London broil into the bowl with the marinade, coat fully and let it sit for about a half an hour.
4- Remove the meat from the bowl, shake off any excess marinade and place on a hot grill.
5- Cook for about three minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees.
6- Once the desired temperature is achieved, remove from grill, and let rest for 15 minutes.
7- Cube up the meat and serve with your favorite taco fixings.
