Snow, sleet and rain moved into the Bronx Tuesday afternoon and caused slippery conditions for the evening commute.
Drivers were urged to use caution when hitting the roads because of poor visibility and snow-covered roads. There were several accidents throughout the afternoon due to the treacherous road conditions.
One accident occurred at Cedar Avenue and Fordham Road. At least five cars were involved and at least seven people were sent to the hospital.
Drivers say the Cross Bronx Expressway was at a standstill at one point due to the weather. However, many motorists say they would rather drive slowly then cause an accident.
Meanwhile, some Bronx drivers say they don?t feel like the city was prepared for the snowy conditions. They claim they haven?t seen any plows out sanding and salting the roads.
