A 21-year-old woman was strangled inside a commercial establishment in Borough Park last month, police say.
It happened near Fort Hamilton Parkway and 45th Street on July 4 around 9:20 p.m.
Police say a man walked up to the victim, placed his hands around her neck and applied pressure, making it difficult for her to breathe. He then took off running.
Police released images of the alleged attacker. He is pictured wearing a black tank top and a black baseball cap.
According to the NYPD, the woman turned down medical attention.
