The roads were relatively easy to drive on following snow cleanup efforts in Yonkers Sunday but as the temperature dropped, there were concerns about black ice.
Motorists on the road overnight into the morning hours were cautioned to take it slow if they see wet spots.
Residents were also reminded to clear the snow from their driveways and around their cars because any leftover snow will pack down and freeze. Any frozen snow will also make it more difficult for residents who may commute in the morning to remove their vehicles from the driveway.
Any resident who plans on driving Monday morning is advised to take extra time in their travels.
