After concerns of E. coli contamination, thousands of people in Nyack were warned today not to drink the tap water.
About 15,000 customers are affected by the boil water advisory, including the Palisades Center Mall, Rockland BOCES, Nyack Hospital and countless restaurants and day care centers.
Officials issued the order Tuesday after potentially harmful bacteria was found in Nyack?s drinking water.
Residents are being warned to use bottled or boiled water even to brush teeth or make ice cubes.
