At least two New Jersey motorcycle officers were seriously injured after colliding with a box truck in Palisades Thursday.

Authorities say a group of uniformed police officers were returning to New Jersey after participating in a funeral escort. They were heading south on Route 9W back to the Garden State. According to police, a truck heading north crossed into the southbound lanes and hit the officers.

One officer was taken to Westchester Medical Center. The other was taken to Englewood Hospital in New Jersey.

A police accident investigation team is on the scene.
