A former government official has been charged in a hit-and-run in Valhalla that left a 66-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

Mount Pleasant police charged 74-year-old Neil DeLuca, of Hawthorne, with leaving the scene.
The accident happened on Saturday around 8 p.m. on Bradhurst Avenue in Valhalla.
Police say when they arrived, the woman was found unconscious on the shoulder of the road.
She was taken to Westchester Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police recovered the front grill of the car at the scene.
On Sunday, police saw a car matching the description of the involved vehicle parked in a driveway.
DeLuca was taken into custody.
He is due in Mount Pleasant town court tomorrow.
Deluca served as Yonkers city manager and deputy Westchester County executive.
He currently owns a real estate consulting company.
