A 43-year-old man was struck in the foot during a shooting in Belmont, police say.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 520 East 183rd St. just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The wounded man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is expected to recover.

News 12 crews observed the block closed off with crime scene tape as officers gathered evidence.

Police are searching for a man wearing all black who ran from the scene.
