'Over $50 million on the line.' Jordan's Furniture customers to win big if UConn men's and women's basketball teams both reach championship game

Despite what the internet is saying, Tatelman says Jordan's Furniture is rooting hard for both programs to go all the way. "We want them to win, this is what people don't understand," Tatelman says. "We're excited, we want this to happen."

Trips to the finals aren't the only things on the line when the UConn men and women play this weekend.

Jordan's Furniture says it will have to pay $50 million back to its customers if both Huskies programs reach the championship.

It's all part of the company's "Make The Finals" promotion.

Customers who bought furniture or mattresses between January 20 and March 1 of this year were promised their money back if both teams made it to their respective title games.

"We bought insurance," company president Eliot Tatelman says. "Right now, there's over $50 million on the line here if this happens. That's how much is going to go back to our customers."

Despite what the internet is saying, Tatelman says Jordan's Furniture is rooting hard for both programs to go all the way.

"We want them to win, this is what people don't understand," Tatelman says. "We're excited, we want this to happen."

The company did something similar back in 2007.

Customers who bought sofas, mattresses, beds or dining room tables during a part of that year got them for free because the Red Sox won the World Series

The UConn women play South Carolina Friday night at 7 p.m.

The men play Illinois Saturday night at 6 p.m.
