A mass shooting in Coney Island left one woman critically injured and seven people wounded late Saturday night, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. at 2929 West 31st St. for multiple people shot.

Tisch says a family barbecue had been taking place when an unknown man wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask shot a gun through the fence multiple times into the courtyard.

The man ran southbound on W 30th Street towards Surf Avenue.

Police say the victims include a 37-year-old man who was shot in the shoulder, a 33-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman who were both shot in the chest, and a 25-year-old woman who was struck in the leg.

Four minors were also wounded in the shooting: a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the thigh, a 12-year-old boy who was shot in the leg, a 7-year-old boy who was struck in both legs, and a 6-year-old boy who was shot in the stomach.

EMS units brought all victims to local hospitals.

The 21‑year‑old woman is critically injured, while all other victims are expected to recover, according to Tisch.

A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Tisch confirms the shooting happened just blocks away from the deadly gang-related shooting on July 1, also on Surf Avenue, which News12 covered.

No arrests have been made.
