Emergency crews respond to partial roof, exterior wall collapse in Yonkers

More than 20 people are out of their homes following a fire Tuesday evening in New Brunswick.

Smoke could be seen billowing from the building on Louis Street. Officials say that three firefighters were hurt while battling the blaze.

The fire was brought under control after several hours.

The Ale ‘N’ Wich Pub is located nearby. A spokesperson for the bar says that several of the people displaced are Rutgers University students. They say that the bar was acting as a gathering spot for the displaced students to meet with school representatives following the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
