A Westport mental health center just opened a new space to make it easier for people to get help.

The new welcome center at the Shores Mental Health aims to get care for people faster without an ER visit.

It is part of Saint Vincent's Medical Center, offering inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care.

They say the center will make services more accessible.

The welcome center is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
