A 2-year-old girl died after she fell from a fifth-floor apartment window in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx on Tuesday night, according to law enforcement sources.

The NYPD says emergency personnel rushed to 572 East 138th St. just after 10:45 p.m., where they found the child unconscious and unresponsive.

The child fell after she managed to get through the gap between the window divider and the air conditioning unit, sources close to the investigation said.

Paramedics rushed her to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The child's identity was not immediately released.
