A major deadline Friday for the fight for three downstate casino licenses
Project bids are now passed, due to the state's gaming commission, and several groups are rolling the dice into the next round for their chance at getting a casino.
Bally’s is looking to build a casino at Ferry Point Park in the Throggs Neck neighborhood of the Bronx.
Meanwhile, The Coney team is looking to open one in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn.
Some argue it will bring jobs and business to the borough, but there's a lot of pushback from people living in those neighborhoods.

Each project's application material will be posted online over the course of the next week or so.
Applicants must complete all processes, including land-use and zoning, before Sept. 30 - which is also the deadline for when Community Advisory Committees must vote on their projects.
The State Gaming Commission expects to make final decisions by the end of the year.
