From the inside out-- the American Legion Unionport Post 1065 is receiving a major upgrade.

New flooring, renovated bathrooms, upgraded countertops, and so much more is what the Castle Hill building will be receiving. Turner Construction is in partnership with Rebuilding NYC to help update the building that has been in the neighborhood for more than 100 years.

The renovation is set to only take a day.

Veterans at the post hope that when it's all done, they can serve those in the community and once again thrive.

"We are all very excited to give back to people who did so much for our country," said a volunteer.
