As Black Friday approaches, many shoppers say that even though the economy may be showing signs of improvement, they are still remaining cautious with their anticipated holiday spending.
Retailers are hoping that the holiday season will be good to them, since many bring in up to 40 percent of their annual sales in the holiday season. Experts say that holidays sales are expected to grow by 2.5 percent this year.
Many area shoppers, however, say their personal financial security has not improved from last year and are not likely to spend significantly more.
