Two people were injured in an armed assault at 8 Mill St. in Ellenville Saturday night.
Police say one of the victims argued earlier with a suspect who returned later with three others.
The group was armed with a baseball bat, knives and a handgun during the attack.
The victim’s girlfriend tried to help and was also assaulted. Both were pistol-whipped and struck with the bat and knife, police say.
They were taken to Ellenville Regional Hospital and are expected to recover.
Police say one weapon was recovered and that the suspects fled before officers arrived.
