The Bronx District Attorney?s Office confirmed Friday that it is looking into former State Senator Guy Velella's use of certain political bank accounts. GOP leaders say the convicted felon has been spending money on legal fees that may belong to the Republican Party. A special investigation by News 12 Westchester revealed that Velella used $70,000 from an account for the Bronx County Republican Committee. Velella claims the account was a political one and contained funds he raised. Members of the district attorney?s office say this is not a criminal investigation. They are working with the Board of Elections to determine if any criminal actions occurred. Related Article:
