As Black Business Month comes to a close, we spotlight Hope Wade Designs, a thriving fashion brand based in Rockland County.
Founder Hope Wade, a Jamaican-born fashion designer and Cooper Union College graduate, opened her North Broadway location in 2020.
Wade's mission is to inspire her community, particularly young girls and women, that dreams can come true with hard work. "I'm a big advocate for... letting people know that no matter where you are in life, your dreams can come true if you work hard enough," Wade said.
A multifaceted entrepreneur, Wade is also executive producer of Rockland Fashion Week at the Palisades Center and a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hope Wade Designs' next event is "Gospel Music in the Park" this Saturday at Rockland State Park in Valley Cottage from 2-8 p.m.
