Police say a young child called 911 Tuesday afternoon after discovering two dead bodies in a Wallkill home. Walkill police say it isn't the first time they were called to the house on Karen Drive. Neighbors say Peter and Elena Heiberger lived there with their three kids for about five years and don't recall any past problems. Peter Heiberger retired from the NYPD last year.

Police will not yet confirm the identity of the two victims, but they say there is not a third party involved. Police also say they recovered a gun at the house, but do not know if the gun was used in the shooting.
