City of Poughkeepsie officers are recovering from injuries after being struck by a stolen vehicle.

News 12 was told it happened Thursday when officers responded to a call about a vehicle attempting to run people over on Gifford Avenue.

The black Dodge Charger was identified as a stolen vehicle from the Town of Fishkill.

Police say 31-year-old Malachi Hunter, of New Jersey, was driving the car when he drove around one police vehicle and struck the second one.

He now faces a long list of charges.
