A Clarkstown soccer coach was sentenced Tuesday to up to 20 years in prison for abusing one of his players over a two-year period.
Mark Staropoli, 50, raped and abused a 16-year-old girl on the Clarkstown Soccer Club?s traveling team. Some Clarkstown parents say the incident is concerning because they feel they live in a safe area.
Some of the victim?s family members said they felt justice was served.
