There were some headaches for travelers at MacArthur Airport Wednesday as delays impacted over a dozen flights the night before Thanksgiving.
Data from FlightAware said that 15 flights in total were delayed. It seems the situation improved as the day went on though, even as a steady stream of travelers came to the airport.
Michael Smith, from East Hampton, says he wishes he and his wife would’ve left for West Palm Beach a few days earlier, but is just happy that their flight is on time at least.
“You live and die by weather in other places cause of connecting flights, but today we're in good shape,” he said. “Obviously, there were huge crowds here today. Wish we would have left a day or two earlier, but that's OK. You sort of just get in that travel mode."
Only two flights were canceled out of MacArthur, according to FlightAware.
