Demonstrators gathered at the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains to march for women's reproductive freedoms across the nation.

It's been about a month since a Texas law banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy went into effect, without an exception for rape or incest.

Demonstrator Barbara Santarelli says she demonstrated on Saturday because of what could happen next.

"Women have the right to choose what they do with their bodies, and I don't take ending a life lightly, but women have that right. We won that right in the Supreme Court,” she said. “Reversing it is so un-American."

Among other concerns, a Mississippi challenge to the Roe V. Wade decision and the possibility that other states could follow Texas' lead in drafting laws affecting a women's right to choose.

There were others at the march who say the unborn also have rights. Prolife advocate Regina Molinelli says, "There is another life within a woman who is pregnant, and that person also has rights as well."

This demonstration was one of more that 600 taking place across the country today, in what some are calling the “Fight for Their Lives.”
