A ex-con financial adviser is facing federal charges for embezzling more than $640,000, according to authorities.
Officials say Gregg Brie, 53, of White Plains, promised to invest the money given to him by two of his neighbors.
He allegedly instead used it on credit cards and a Mercedes-Benz lease.
Brie had previously served nearly six years in state prison after pleading guilty to conning 26 people out of more than $2 million in 2008, while he was living in Rockland County.
