A family who was displaced by Sunday's apartment fires in Fishkill says they may have lost something that can never be replaced.

Multiple fires tore through multiple apartments in the Merritt Park complex Sunday night. State police said Monday that seven back porches, where paper products were being stored for recycling, were set on fire at three separate buildings within the complex. There have been no further updates from police on the investigation.

Lisa Flamio, who has been in the building for five years, says she lost her mother a month ago. She fears her mother's ashes, which were in an urn in the apartment, are also lost considering the extensive fire damage.

Officials say they have been unsuccessful finding the urn among the destruction.

The family of six is one of the dozens displaced by the series of fires.

Family and friends are rallying to help and have set up a GoFundMe page that has raised thousands of dollars.
