The Hudson Valley saw some much-needed rain relief today after weeks of dry weather and a drought.
The low water level at the Moodna Creek in Cornwall is one example of how badly the area needs rainfall.
The creek is the longest stream in Orange County, at 15.5 miles, and runs into the Hudson River.
County officials say the conditions are a concern for drinking water and agriculture.
Despite the rain today and tomorrow, officials say residents are still encouraged to minimize water usage.
