State police arrested Burton Gulnick, the former Ulster County finance commissioner, on Friday for charges that include grand larceny and falsifying business records.

State police arrested Burton Gulnick, the former Ulster County finance commissioner, on Friday for charges that include grand larceny and falsifying business records.
Gulnick, of Kingston, is accused of stealing funds from the Hurley Recreation Association, and the Friends of Mike Hein Political Committee. He served as treasurer of both groups.
Gulnick resigned as finance commissioner last March.
He was arraigned in Town of Hurley Court and released.
