A Middletown man is now being questioned in connection with the death of his former roommate.
James Blagmon, who was arrested Tuesday on unrelated drug charges, is being questioned by police in the death of Franklin Fitts of Yonkers. Fitts was found in the trunk of his car on Sunday in Newburgh after teens reported a foul smell coming from the area. Although the body was found in Newburgh, police believe he may have been murdered elsewhere. Fitts had most recently been staying with Blagmon in Middletown.
Police tore through Blagmon?s home and his burgundy BMW on Tuesday, searching for anything that could give them information on Fitts? murder. Blagmon was arraigned on drug sale charges in Middletown and is being held without bail at Orange County Jail.
