Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani came to Rockland County Wednesday to throw his support behind local Republicans.
Giuliani stopped at the Blauvelt Coach Diner for a meet and greet. "We know that there's a big election coming up in November 2008, but there's a big election coming up this November and we've got to elect Republicans in Rockland County," Giuliani said.
Giuliani, buoyed by a new national poll that shows he's got a slight edge among Republican presidential candidates, wasted no time going after Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton. He accused Clinton taking too many different positions, and said that "she can't be trusted."
Giuliani stopped at the Rockland Country Club in Sparkill to attend a private fundraiser sponsored by County Executive Scott Vanderhoef. "It was great to have the opportunity to have him come to Rockland and hopefully raise some money for him," said Vanderhoef.
