Mohonk Mountain House Halloween Haunts and Happenings

Date/Time: Oct. 28 - Oct. 30
Location: Mohonk Mountain House, 100 Mountain Rest Road, New Paltz
MORE: A weekend of Halloween fun to experience the Mountain House coming alive with table top mysteries, Halloween crafts, live music, trick-or-treating, the mysterious “Night Watchman Tour” and more! From evening campfires to Halloween short films with a live musical score, there are plenty of activities to enjoy for all ages. 

MyKingstonKids Halloween Fest & Parade

Date/Time Oct 29, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County, 507 Broadway, Kingston
MORE:  This is an annual event specifically created with kids in mind but will be enjoyed by all ages. This free community event is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year and will produce one of Kingston's biggest kids parties. Rain date: Oct. 30. Parade: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Festival: 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. The festivities starts with the MyKingstonKids Halloween Parade leaving Kings Plaza near Hannaford Supermarket and will end at the Kingston YMCA on Broadway. All community organizations, businesses, churches, individuals, groups and residents are welcome. Vehicles, walkers and bands encouraged.

The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Date/Time Sun, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Location: 525 S Riverside Ave, Croton-On-Hudson, NY
MORE: Meander through an 18th-century landscape and discover a breathtaking display of more than 7,000 illuminated jack o’ lanterns—all designed and hand-carved on site by a team of artisans. New for 2022, watch our animated “Jack” Smith Shop in action and keep an eye out for glowing bees. Complete with synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack. 
All proceeds from Blaze and our other Halloween events support the programs of Historic Hudson Valley, a non-profit education organization.

Trick or Treat at the Yonkers Library

Date/Time: Mon Oct. 31, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Yonkers Public Library, Yonkers Public Library, Riverfront, 1 Larkin Center

Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard’s Characters

Date/Time: Oct. 26, 2022, 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Location: 1 Stew Leonard Dr., Yonkers
MORE: Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers to go trick-or-treating. Clear goodie bags will be provided to children to collect their candy as they visit trick-or-treating stations throughout the store. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with the children.
Due to a high level of interest from shoppers, Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers will offer free tickets to the Trick-or-Treat event to 400 kids. The event will have timed entry so that the store does not become overcrowded; this is for the safety and comfort of customers. Families can register for the free tickets via EventBrite.com starting on Oct. 1, 2022.
All kids ages 11 and younger who wear their Halloween costume to Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers from Saturday, Oct. 29 - Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, will receive a free ice cream cone at the Ice Cream Parlor.

Ridge Hill Spook-tacular Halloween

Date/time: Oct. 29, 2022 at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Ridge Hill | Yonkers, NY
MORE: The Hill's SPOOK-tacular Halloween kickoff filled with Tricks and Treats for everyone! Visit the Concierge table to pick up a Trick or Treating map and stop by all participating retailers/restaurants who will be handing out candy and treats to children. Don't forget to bring your Trick or Treat bags! This event is rain or shine!

Hudson River Museum Halloween/Day of the Dead festivities

Date/Time: Oct. 29, 2022 at 12 p.m. to Oct. 30 2022 at 5 p.m.
Location: Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave, Yonkers
MORE: : Explore our haunted historic home on a Gothic Glenview Tour, learn about the stars in our spooky planetarium show, The Sky Tonight: Night Frights, create a jar-o’-lantern to take home in our Family Art Workshop, and meet some scaly friends at our Live Reptile Show with the Wizard of Lizards! Guests who come in costume will receive candy in the lobby throughout the weekend.
Celebrate Dia de Muertos on Saturday by creating your very own corazones y marionetas de papel, or paper hearts and puppets. We also invite you to participate in our community altar by bringing photos of departed loved ones to place on the ofrenda, which will be on view all weekend. We recommend bringing copies of pictures to leave at the Museum.
On Sunday, decorate your own mason jar to create a mini jar-o’-lantern and enjoy a live show with the Wizard of Lizards at 1 p.m. (recommended for ages 5+)

Nyack Halloween Parade

MORE: : Nyack's famous Halloween Parade returns for the first time since 2019!! Join the all day fun in Nyack and the parade steps off at 5:30 p.m. from Memorial Park. Rain date is Oct. 30, 2022. 
New this year – our first-ever Pet Costume Contest – dress your pets in their most daring or darling costumes and enter them to win great prizes! Judging for pets begins at 12 p.m. in Nyack Memorial Park, and awards will be distributed at 1 p.m.. If you and your pet would like to participate in the parade itself, please return to Memorial Park between 3 p.m.-5 p.m. to prepare for the parade step-off.

Location: Patriots Park, Route 9, Tarrytown, NY
MORE: The parade route runs south along Broadway to Tarrytown’s Main Street. Block party to follow on Main Street with a DJ and live music, outdoor dining, performers, and much more.The Halloween parade is festive and fun for the whole family. Viewing along the the parade route is free and you can also participate by marching with a theme as a group or float for a chance to win prizes! Registration is required to be eligible for prizes.
