Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A homeless man is facing charges in a Yonkers stabbing. Police say two men were arguing on Riverdale Avenue Saturday when one man attacked the other with a knife. The suspect, Samuel Areizaga, has been arrested 65 times - with 60 convictions. He has six open bench and arrest warrants and 19 failures to appear in court. News 12 has been told the victim is recovering from his injuries.
A man is recovering this morning following a shooting in the City of Poughkeepsie. Police say the victim was shot in the torso early Sunday morning on the 100 block of Main Street. Officers say the victim was brought to MidHudson Regional Hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet.
A dozen people in New Rochelle are without a place to live after a fire tore through their three-family home. Fire officials say the flames broke out Sunday morning on Villus Avenue. No injuries have been reported. The Red Cross is now helping the eight adults and four kids who were living in the house. The cause has not yet been determined.
