New York is
doing a much better job of making sure all of its allotment of vaccine are
getting into people’s arms.
Health officials say more than 91% of the vaccine
New York has received has been used at the 3,000 distribution sites.
That translates to just over
1.5 million vaccinations so far.
Now, more supply is needed.
The Biden administration is
responding to that call saying they are already working on it. "They're increasing
production of vaccine and they're going to give states projection allocations
so states can plan," says Gov. Andrew Coumo (D).
The change will soon allow
distributors to know how many doses they are receiving in advance, so they can
schedule appointments accordingly.
