As 2008 approaches, many people in Westchester and Hudson Valley are starting to make their New Year's resolutions.

The final days of December are traditionally a time of year many designate for reflection and resolution. Many said they are ready to make a few changes in 2008. Erich Rush, of White Plains, had social activism on his mind and said he wants to give back to the community.

The number one resolution on many people's list is getting fit and losing weight. One Yonkers resident said he wants to be healthier for his twins. Others vow to get to the gym regularly.

Spending more time with family and friends, quitting smoking and getting out of debt also makes the top of the resolution list.

Time in on the side of resolution makers since there are another 365 days to put all those New Year?s promises to work.
