Higher prices in grocery stores may be translating to a sales boost for fast-food chains like McDonald's.
The company says sales are up more than 6%, as more and more consumers look to get more value for their dollar when they eat.
This comes as grocery prices have climbed some 13% in the third quarter.
McDonald's executives pointed out that the company performed well during the last economic downturns in 2008 and 2009, when it introduced it's "Dollar Menu" to boost sales.
