A Putnam County man who was convicted for his role in the Jan. 6 Capital attack will remain in jail pending his sentencing.
Greg Purdy, of Kent, was found guilty of assault, civil disorder and obstruction of an official proceeding, among other charges.
While requesting his release, Purdy’s attorney cited President-elect Donald Trump’s repeated promises to review and pardon those who participated in the riot.
The motion was denied by a federal judge in Washington.
