Dutchess County is preserving the legacy of the Tappan Zee Bridge with the “Tiny Tappan Zee,” a bridge made up of recycled wood from the original structure.
The wood from the original bridge lives on in a number of ways. It is also being used to make artificial reefs of the coast of Long Island and in a project from Apex Modular Solutions.
Apex Modular Solutions uses the wood to create party barns and tiny homes for people to live in.
