Despite being the busiest time of the year for local flower shops, the recent snowstorm posed challenges for businesses like "Wild Fig Floral Shop" in Katonah, which specializes in nature-inspired arrangements.
The shop's owner, Nichole Wilder, expressed that the week leading up to Valentine's Day typically sees a surge in sales. However, the snowstorm deterred some customers from visiting the shop, impacting retail traffic.
Wilder remains optimistic, banking on last-minute shoppers on Valentine's Day to make up for the slowdown. Despite a delayed opening due to the weather, the shop is busy creating beautiful arrangements for the occasion.
