Heavy snowfall will be making its way to the Hudson Valley this weekend, which means, local supermarkets are preparing for those last-minute shoppers.
Over a DeCicco & Sons, management says they're expecting Friday and Saturday to be busy. In preparation for that, they've adjusted their shipments and upped certain inventory.
"Meat, chicken, anything people can really use to be at home. Milk, juice, eggs, chips, water, large format water. People get scared that their pipes are going to freeze so they'll get gallons of water," said General Manager Chris Dapolito.
Instacart shoppers say that they'll be inundated with orders as well.
"People order food which is like bread and bagels and you know they order sugar, milk, eggs all the things they need on an everyday basis," said Instacart Shopper, Zoila Martinez, "The store, if everybody orders the same thing, they [the store] runs out."
If you haven't already done your grocery shopping, Dapolito says the sooner you can get it done before the storm, the better
