The snow seemed to bring out the best in people throughout Dutchess County. 

Shoveling can be grueling after a major snowstorm, but Toni Houston's neighbors in Hopewell Junction were quick to offer a helping hand when she needed it most.

She says without her husband around, she and her daughter appreciated every ounce of help.

In Fishkill, the Hilton Hotel staff and N&L Landscaping freed the News 12 vehicle. 

They also helped two women from Beacon.
