Village of Mamaroneck officials and residents met on Monday to weigh in on proposals that would increase affordable housing in the area.
Two developers – Luna and Westhab -- presented their proposals to build housing units on village owned parking lot, Hunter Lot.
Luna is proposing 171-unit housing luxury building; Westhab wants to build a 74-unit building.
Residents say the village has already met its affordable housing requirements and would rather focus on more pressing issues such as flood mitigation, overcrowded schools, traffic, less parking and housing accessibility for those in the village.
