Celebrations will be held in Goshen on Tuesday for Hanukkah.
Organizers with the Chabad of Orange County are hosting the unity event.
Main Street businesses will have free holiday crafts for kids.
A menorah lighting and candy coin giveaway are also planned at the Village Green.
"Today in our world it's a very difficult time and we have to unite together to be happy, to be positive, and that is the lesson of this beautiful menorah and the lesson of Hanukkah,” says Rabbi Meir Borenstein, of the Chabad of Orange County.
The event begins Tuesday at 4:45 p.m., followed by the menorah lighting at 6 p.m.
