New York State will soon offer a new way to travel between New York City and Albany.
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that Metro-North will begin running service between Grand Central Terminal and Albany starting in the spring.
The route will include one daily round-trip, with the train from Grand Central departing mid-morning and the return trip from Albany leaving in the afternoon.
Officials say the new service will help fill gaps left by Amtrak, which suspended some routes earlier this year.
