Students at Middletown High School are on edge after one of their classmates was charged with making a threat.
Police say 17-year-old Devon Middleton sent a text message to a student Tuesday night threatening the lives of his fellow classmates. The incident comes more than a week after students protested unsafe conditions at their school. School officials say this is one of three similar incidents that happened at the school this year. Even so, Principal Larry Ashley feels his school is safe.
Devon Middleton is charged with a felony and could face up to three years in jail.
