A DWI crash Sunday night seriously injured a pedestrian in Middletown, police say.

The incident occurred near Wickham Avenue and Cottage Street.

The driver, 31-year-old Shannon Bruno from Middletown, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and vehicular assault.

The victim, who was not named by authorities, was flown to Westchester Medical Center and is on life support.

Bruno was arraigned in Middletown City Court. According to online records for Orange County Jail, she was held on bail, which was posted, and released later that day.
