A Morrisania man who rushed to his big brother's rescue during an attempted robbery Saturday morning was stabbed and left for dead, police say.
According to officials, 28-year-old Alex Cruz saw a group of 12 men and women chasing his 34-year-old brother as he looked out the window of their Intervale Avenue apartment. Police say the older brother managed to hide from the group in a lobby.
Police say the thugs stabbed Cruz multiple times in the chest and neck, leaving him to bleed to death on the street.
The brothers lived together and worked together at a moving company.
