Snowy conditions are continuing in the Hudson Valley after a mix of rain and snow created a messy commute this morning.
Residents awoke to fat, wet snowflakes across the region, but that quickly turned to rain in most areas. The latest storm canceled and delayed many flights at Stewart International Airport, and even shut down some local schools.
Others were not as optimistic as they watched snowplows hit the streets once again, keeping all primary roads clear. Many say warm and sunny weather is long overdue.
This is the second snow event in the area since the first full day of spring on Monday, but some residents say that they find the snow refreshing, and see it is a welcome reminder of the warmer weather that is sure to come.
Some areas north of I-287 could still see as much as 4 inches of snow through Thursday morning, when all precipitation is expected to have tapered off.
